Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning
We’ve come a long way from the days when you would hang your carpet on the line and pound the dust, dirt and debris out of it with a carpet beater! Today’s preferred method is Hot Water Extraction.
Hot Water Extraction
This method is often called “Steam Cleaning” and is the cleaning method nearly all carpet manufacturers and carpet fiber producers recommend. This process consists of spraying a solution of water and detergent into the carpet pile and recovering the water and suspended soil with a powerful vacuum into a holding tank. From a health standpoint, the truck-mounted system is preferred because the dirty air and humidity are exhausted outside rather than recirculated around the house. Additionally, truck-mounted systems usually are more powerful than portable units and do a much better cleaning job and get the carpet dry more quickly.
Due to traffic, children, pets and normal wear, carpet fibers and upholstery fabrics inevitably become soiled, and a dull appearance results. And no matter how much you vacuum, eventually you will need to call a professional cleaner. Regular professional cleaning is as important to your carpet and upholstery fabrics as having a trained mechanic perform routine tune-ups on your car. While your carpet and upholstery may appear clean on the surface, periodic cleaning by a certified technician can remove what you can’t see.
